Submitted on Review title of GameFreak227just like on the GameCube the people that complained about the controls OBVIOUSLY didn't play on the GameCube. The C Stick didn't aim, and you couldn't knife while running. THIS PORT IS IDENTICAL TO THE GameCube. Change your controls to type III or II if you want the GameCube memories. The game NEVER allowed you to shoot while walking, not even on the PS2 version or Wii port. You have to stop to aim, you turn by holding right or left.
Back A turns you around fast. Some of the bad reviews must have been thinking this was Res 5 or Call of Duty, because this port and the original on GameCube NEVER let you run diagonaly. This 'remake' is exactly as i expected, and the new graphics are amazing.
I didn't, and you shouldn't, expect it to be a ground up remake. This game is EXACTLY as i remembered it on GameCube, aside from better graphics. ONE COMPLAINT I'VE FOUND! In the beginning village on gamecube there was a chainsaw lady. It was gone in this remaster:(, although its the only unoriginal/easier thing thus far. Submitted on 8/1/2017 Review title of KryptonianSon70The best Resident Evil ever. This game was one of my go-to games in my PS2 days, and not only is it the best RE ever made (maybe besides Resident Evil 2), it is one the best games I've ever played PERIOD.
I have beat this masterpiece countless times and would still come back for more. If you love Resident Evil, PLAY THIS! The over-the-shoulder angle became my favorite way to enjoy shooters and was a fantastic way to revive a classic yet dated series. Quit being skeptical if you've never played this before and just buy it. You certainly won't regret it.I never did.

Submitted on 5/14/2017 Review title of JaidabeccaBest. Tied with REmake for my favorite game of all time(hence the same headline for my reviews of both games), RE4 is still just as amazing as it was back in 2005. While it was the first game in the series to change camera perspective it suits the gameplay nicely. Although the 'Hook Man' version will always be there as a nice 'what if' version of if RE4 was a horror game(one that I'd still like to see completed & released as an alternate timeline) I'm still going to continue enjoying the timeless classic we got. Submitted on 3/22/2017 Review title of Haddad4Nick8I paid $ on the 360, 2nd time SHOULD B FREE!!!!!!!
This isnt really a review on Resident Evil 4 as a game but a review of the Xbox Ones version. Everything from all versions of this game are certainly included but thats all, nothing new which is how it was meant to be. If youre considering buying this AGAIN, even if you have already bought it previously for the 360, save your money if you still have your 360 version handy. The overall smoothness & sharpness have been improved, even from the 360's version. The ONLY complaint I have is making those of us who've paid full price to download RE4 on the 360 PAY full price once again to download it to the One. That is NOT how to thank loyal fans who spend countless dollars on your products.
The nickel & diming has to stop, we the fans need to ban together, put our foot down, and say: NO MORE!!!! Not all of us gamers swim in hundred-dollar friggin bills, some of us work, get crapped on by life & just want to escape from misery and get lost our Xbox One world where its starting reject us now.
